Alfred Plummer, affectionately known as “Bro” departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2010. Alfred was born on May 13, 1927 to parents Nelson and Mary Plummer in Warrenton, North Carolina.

He was educated in the Warrenton School System. He migrated to Brooklyn, New York at an early age. Alfred served in the Army in World War II and was Honorably Discharged with a Victory Medal in February 1947. He was married to the late Millie Hawkins in 1946. He owned and operated his own T.V. Shop as a T.V. Technician and was a Taxi Driver for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Millie Plummer, daughter Eunice Butts, his mother and father Mary and Nelson Plummer and nephew Gregory Harris.

Alfred leaves to cherish his memory: his only sister Georgia Harris of Brooklyn, New York, brother-in-law and caretaker Willie Hawkins of the home, sister-in-law Sadie M. Thames of North Carolina, two nephews Robert and Allen Harris of Brooklyn, New York and one niece Mariel Harris of Brooklyn, New York, seven grandchildren: Mildred, LeRoy, Darryl, Deborah, Harriet, Tracey, and Jermaine, twelve great grandchildren, seventy-one great-great-great nephews and nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

“Life”

God gives life, He takes it away when I viewed the last sunset and cross the last sea, I knew a new sunrise will be waiting for me. Death will lose its sting and the greatest victory. Time will come for last goodbye.

Just know that I am in the arms of our Savior so sweet.

“Alfred will be greatly missed”.
