Minister Isaac W. Green, went home on Sunday, February 21, 2010 in the privacy of his home in Brooklyn, New York.
He was born in Charlotte, Virginia to the late Isaac and Janie Green. He was the fourth and the last of six children (Roosevelt, Eliza, Mary, Isaac, Jessie and Steven).
He received an Honorary Discharge from the military in the late 1945, then moved to New York where he met and married his wife Evangelist Ethel Miller.
He was an active member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church for many years. Receiving recognition from a host of organizations such as the American Indian Relief Council and a Congressional recognition for his service to the community, just to name a few. His conversation always contained the words ‘God Bless You’ with a warm and friendly smile. It was not uncommon to see him at various train stations handing out religious tracts. Isaac was an inventor, creatively using wood, metal or other materials to make handy household items. In his early 80’s he took computer classes as well as volunteering to assist officials in his building.
He will be missed by: his children Michelle, Mitchell, Janie, Yvonne and Anthony. He also leaves behind a host of, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great~great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and an abundance of friends.
