Come To Me
God saw you were getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
And whispered,
"Come To Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to
prove to us,
SHARON ANN WILLIAMS was born on September 8, 1949 to the late Littleton Davis and Josephine Davis in Queens, New York.
Sharon attended Jamaica Vocational High School.
Sharon met the late Warren Williams in 1966 and they were joined together by their first born Niles "Poe".
Sharon and Warren were happily married and continued to add to the Williams Bunch. The Williams Bunch includes Niles "Poe", the late Darren "Lug", Kim "Esther" and Kenya "Dot" "Screaming Lilly." Once Sharon and Warren completed their family, she then moved on to pursue a career in the field of Financial Administration at the Legal Aid Society. Upon excelling in her career Sharon retired in 1994.
Sharon was led to the Lord in 1986 and at that time she then accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, via her mentorship with the Late Bishop Clarence Keaton. Sharon's relationship with the Lord blossomed. The Lord opened Sharon's eyes to her gift, which led to her being ordained as a Missionary. Throughout Sharon's life she had touched so many lives leaving her door open to all and in the process bringing forth many souls for Christ.
Sharon's Pride and Joys were her grandchildren Donna Nelson, Brielle Jeffries, Tuquan "Poopa" Williams, Nazire "Nazzy" Williams and Jamere "Baby" Williams-McGirt.
Sharon's mother Josephine Davis was the "Apple of her Eye" and also her Pride and Joy.
Sharon enjoyed spending quality time and loved her siblings Carol Stewart, Linda Barnes, Erwin Davis, the Late Donald Davis and Robin Davis-Hicks deeply.
Sharon leaves to mourn a host of in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins in the Justice, Davis and Williams families. Sharon also leaves to mourn her godsons Jaquail Belvin and Taheem Fluker; her goddaughter Symphony Barrett; her godbrother, Antwoynne Fowler and a host of loved and cherished friends.
We would like to pay tribute to her sister from another mother, Florence Belvin and her entire family who are an extension of the Williams Family.
As a result of Sharon'S illness she was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 19, 2010.
